Hi, I'm Dan

I'm a walkaround magician and mentalist based in New York City (cards, coins, the occasional borrowed object that doesn't come back quite the way you left it). I've also spent fifteen years on stages doing improv, sketch, and solo work: Edinburgh Fringe, UCB, The PIT, an award-winning film or two, a monthly variety show in LA I ended up hosting, and a hundred other random comedy and magic shows in basements across the world.

I'm also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, which sounds a lot more official than it feels.

Walkaround

Cards, coins, wallets, whatever's on the table. Moving room to room, conversation to conversation. Built for cocktail hours, receptions, and anywhere people are already talking to each other.

The 30-Minute Show

A tighter, seated set, heavier on mind-reading and lighter on the rest. Works well as an add-on to walkaround, or booked on its own if you want a proper moment where the room goes quiet.

How much does it cost to hire a walkaround magician in NYC?

Rates start from $300 and vary by event length, guest count, and location. Get in touch for a specific quote for your wedding, party, or corporate event.

What's the difference between a strolling magician and a mentalist?

A strolling (or walkaround) magician moves through the crowd doing close-up magic with cards, coins, and borrowed objects. A mentalist leans into mind-reading and prediction. I do both, often in the same night.

Do you perform outside Manhattan?

Yes: Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, New Jersey, Connecticut, and the wider tri-state area are all in reach.

What's included in a typical booking?
